yesterday i went shopping for new paper and discovered hahnemuhle sugar cane. now all tdb prints are going to be printed on this fabulous new paper! here's a little info on it from the hahnemuhle green rooster website:
"Hahnemuehle Sugar Cane is made from 75 % sugar cane fibres. The by-product of sugar cane processing is used to make a pulp. Therefore this "bagasse fibre" is an eco-friendly resource endorsed by environmental organisations. Cotton fibres extracted from recycling our own paper trimmings make up the remaining 25 % of raw material. To produce the paper Hahnemuehle is using renewable energy.
The result is a natural white Fine Art paper extremly resistant to ageing. The premium inkjet coating guarantees Fine Art images rich in contrast and detail. The texture of the artist paper has a wonderful feel to ist. Hahnemuehle Sugar Cane is ideal for warm toned colour and monochrome prints of Fine Art photography and art reproduction."
i love this paper because it's thick, the texture is beautiful and it adds warmth to the final product not to mention it's just simply not your ordinary paper: it's made mostly from sugar cane fibres and is friendly w/ the environment. i must say i am rather excited about it!
